(Fmr.) Judge Marjorie T. Uyengco-Nolasco
Former Judge Nolasco served as a judge for 10 years from 2006 to 2016; first, as the presiding judge of the Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 79, Las Pinas City, and then as the presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 83, Tanauan City, Batangas. She left the judiciary in March 2016 and returned to private practice as the managing Partner of Nolasco and Associates Law Offices.
She has devoted much of her time to giving lectures in Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) seminars for Philippine lawyers, as well as in various seminars for judges and court personnel at the Philippine Judicial Academy, which is the training arm of the Supreme Court, where she serves as Professorial Lecturer I. In addition, she is likewise a part-time faculty at the CEU School of Law.
Judge Nolasco is likewise actively involved in several judicial and legal reform projects, including the enhancement of free legal aid through the establishment and development of law clinics in law schools across the country, which is a joint project of the Supreme Court and The Asia Foundation.
She finished both her Pre-law course and Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines.
