Atty. Raymond Fortun is a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Law in 1988 and passed the Bar Exams scheduled that year. He joined Sycip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan Law Offices in 1989 and transferred to Fortun & Narvasa Law Offices in 1994 where he rose to the rank of Partner. In 2004, he set up the Raymond Fortun Law Offices, which later became the Fortun & Santos Law Offices.

He gained prominence during the impeachment trial of President Joseph Ejercito Estrada where he served as the Spokesperson of the Defense Panel. He subsequently handled high-profile clients such as Senators Juan Ponce Enrile and Bong Revilla, Governor Henry Pryde Teves, Presidential Adviser Michael Yang, Kris Aquino, Vicky Belo, Willy Revillame, Claudine Barretto, Gabby Concepcion, Zsa Zsa Padilla, and Vice Ganda, among others. He was one of the counsels in the Petition to declare the Pork Barrel and Disbursement Acceleration Fund unconstitutional.
