Atty. Raymond Fortun is a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Law in 1988 and passed the Bar Exams scheduled that year.  He joined the Sycip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan Law Offices in 1989 and transferred to Fortun & Narvasa Law Offices in 1994 where he rose to the rank of Partner.  In 2004, he set up the Raymond Fortun Law Offices, which later became the Fortun & Santos Law Offices.

Atty. Fortun gained prominence during the impeachment trial of President Joseph Ejercito Estrada where, despite being the youngest lawyer in the defense panel, he was chosen as its spokesperson.  He subsequently handled high-profile clients such as Senators Juan Ponce Enrile and Bong Revilla, Governor Henry Pryde Teves, Presidential Adviser Michael Yang, Kris Aquino, Vicky Belo, Willy Revillame, Claudine Barretto, Gabby Concepcion, Zsa Zsa Padilla, and Vice Ganda, among others.  He was one of the Bar Examiners in the infamous 2007 Bar Exams where the low marks given to examinees resulted in the Supreme Court reducing the passing mark that year to 70%.  He was one of the counsels in the Petition to declare the Pork Barrel and Disbursement Acceleration Fund unconstitutional, and was recently embroiled in an advocacy to protect the cycling community and the general public from road rage incidents.

An avid cyclist and golfer, a brilliant photographer who once was the Wedding Supplier of the Year industry-wide, a choir leader for 31 years, Atty. Fortun believes that we can be saints in the middle of the world.
