Atty. Karen Olivia Jimeno currently holds several roles as Chief Legal Counsel for SofCap Partners (a private equity fund that invests in the Philippines); a professor for the Master of Laws program of the San Beda Graduate School of Law; and a board member of the Philippine Army Multisectoral Advisory Board (PA-MSAB).

She was the Defense Counsel & Spokesperson during the Impeachment Trial of then Chief Justice Renato Corona. She was Legal Counsel for the Senate Ethics Committee during the 17th Congress of the Philippines and a Policy and Regulatory Consultant of The World Bank. She also served in the Philippine government as Undersecretary for Legal Affairs & Priority Projects at the Department of Public Works & Highways, and as Undersecretary at the Presidential Management Staff – Office of the President.

Atty. Jimeno has degrees in AB Humanities & Management from the University of Asia & the Pacific, where she ranked first in her class; Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Philippines, where she graduated cum laude with a Dean’s Medal for Academic Excellence; Master of Laws from Harvard Law School; and a Master of Development Practice certified in Engineering & Business for Sustainability from UC Berkeley, where she was a Fulbright scholar. She is licensed to practice law in the Philippines and in New York, USA.
