Atty. Julius Anthony R. Omila has been a legal practitioner for almost 29 years and has already focused his practice on arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Since his admission to the Philippine Bar in 1994, he has successfully represented individual and major corporate clients in their various business and government transactions and cases involving civil, commercial, construction, telecommunications, and power issues, among others. He has also served as mediation/ negotiation counsel, arbitration counsel and as arbitrator in cases involving similar matters. 

He presently serves as the President of the Philippine Institute of Arbitrators (PIArb), the first learned society of arbitration and ADR practitioners in the Philippines. He is also a member and trained arbitrator of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. (PDRCI). Likewise, he is currently the Deputy Secretary General for Business Development (former Corporate Secretary) and an accredited arbitrator of the Philippine International Center for Conflict Resolution (PICCR). He is also a member of the Committee on Amendments of Law formed by the Philippine Institute of Construction Arbitrators and Mediators (PICAM) tasked to review and propose amendments to domestic construction arbitration legislation. 

Atty. Omila taught Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) at the Adamson University, College of Law, and is a regular lecturer of the University of the Philippines Institute for the Administration of Justice (UP IAJ) and Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), among others, on Arbitration and ADR, in their Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) programs. In 2012, he was admitted as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), East Asia Branch, Philippine Chapter. He is a member of the Philippine Institute of Construction Arbitrators and Mediators (PICAM) and an accredited arbitrator of the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission (CIAC).
