Atty. Arthur Autea has been a Bar reviewer on alternative dispute resolution and is also an active lecturer on the same subject in Supreme Court-prescribed mandatory continuing legal education courses. He has taught commercial arbitration in law schools and has published a textbook on the subject – Notes and Cases on Commercial Arbitration under Philippine Law – which he authored under the auspices of the University of the Philippines College of Law. He is also a contributing author in various local and international books on commercial arbitration, the latest of which, copyright 2018, The Developing World of Arbitration: A Comparative Study of Arbitration Reform in the Asia Pacific, where he discussed about Philippine arbitration reform on the world stage.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science (cum laude) in 1981 and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1986 from the University of the Philippines. At present, Mr. Autea is managing his own law firm specializing on commercial arbitration. He has been in the active practice of commercial arbitration, either as an advocate or as an arbitrator, since 1993, under various arbitration rules in different jurisdictions.
